Title	2002-N-0598 Neighborhood next to Sears Roebuck and Company
Subject	Neighborhoods Retail Stores Department Stores
Description	Aerial image, looking north, of the neighborhood to the east of the new Sears Roebuck and Company store located at 150 Crosstown Parkway in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Crosstown Parkway is visible running along the top edge of the image. The street running from left to right along the bottom edge is Lake Street. The street dividing Sears and Roebuck from the neighborhood is John Street, while the street located within the neighborhood is John Street Court. As of 2006 Sears Roebuck and Company has relocated to the City of Portage, Michigan leaving this building to be converted into the Kalamazoo Public Safety Complex. The neighborhood, along with John Street Court no longer exist while John Street is now part of this complex's parking lot. The neighborhood would eventually be replaced by a Holiday Inn in 1962 which has also has been demolished leaving only a large empty field as of 2006.
