Description	View, looking northeast, of the brand new Topps Discount City Department Store located at 4445 South Westnedge Avenue. The business is identifiable by the large arched entryway. Next door to Topps (to the left) are A&P Food Stores (4415 South Westndge Avenue) and Brad's Shoe Mart. Kilgore Road can be seen running from the lower left corner to the right center edge. This is "New Kilgore Road." "Old Kilgore" is barely visible in the lower right corer. The reason for the change was prior to the construction of this strip mall the sight was occupied by a small pond. "Old Kilgore" by passed the pond to the south. With the draining of the pond and the construction of the mall Kilgore was able to be straightened however Old Kilgore was still needed creating two different roads. South Westnedge is visible running from the left center edge to the bottom center edge. On the south east corner of Kilgore and South Westnedge are Jake's Donut Drive In (5003 South Westnedge) and M & T Battery and Electric Parts Company (5017 South Westnedge). In te background (top edge) is the Carl R. Johnson Meat Packing House at 4341 South Westnedge. As of 2018 this strip mall remains relatively unchanged. Topps is now a Big Lots. The Meat Packing house has been demolished and replaced with an office complex. All of the businesses (and structures) visible along South Westnedge have been demolished and replaced.
